"There has never been any question but that women of the poor should toil alongside their men. No angry and no compassionate voice has been raised to say that women should not break their backs with harvest work, or soil their hands with blacking grates and peeling potatoes. The objection is only to work that is pleasant, exciting or profitable - the work that any human being might think it worthwhile to do."

... Dorothy L. Sayers
(1893-1957)

When women face problems, they often need to turn and depend on other women for assistance and help. Women for Women now located in Scotch Plains, an organization designed for this assistance giving, has helped women in crisis and transition for years and years.

Many volunteers of this organization offer support to women who face predicaments. They have trained to be facilitators in Self-Esteem groups so they can be fully equipped to help in any way conceivable. Women for Women will continue to help women in difficult situations and encourage them to let go and find a new beginning presently and in the future.

In addition to women support groups, WFW also offers support groups on children and divorce. It encourages children to express their feelings in a small and nurturing atmosphere. Through the process, children will be able to see that they are not alone, reducing their feelings of isolation. Counselors use age-appropriate material so that children can express their feelings about their plight and their newly structured family. To help each child express his/her feelings, books, drawings, games, discussions, storytelling, and workbooks are used.

Women for Women is certainly one of the best, most helpful organizations ever devised. Not only does it help women, but also children through their problems, difficulties, and situations.
